i am a writer, a sort of poet, an essayist. i have an interest in the narrative and other, messy involvements we have with the books and music and games we create. i like to talk and write about these things. a little pretension never hurt anybody, except the 5th earl of islington who, in 1733, fell from a balcony while reciting Homer drunk. that last part was probably not true. i am interested in modernism and in visceral, uncertain, broken uses of language; i am interested in sound and meaning and how they should never give them selves entirely to sense.
